Within the scope of Success Story of Sedef Ahşap with KaMa Machinery.
We met with Mr. Nurettin Koçkan from Sedef Ahşap which is located in Tosya, Kastamonu. He is our customer who uses KaMa sanding lines and KaMa automatic spraying lines for years and we wonder why he choses us on finishing lines. Let’s dive deeper to learn the process that needs KaMa for success.
Mr. Koçkan, we know that you have produced ” The Door of The World ” with more than 40 years of experience. Could you inform us about your company?
“In 1978, we -two brothers- started the business by producing wooden windows and doors in a rented workshop of 50 m2. Despite the technical difficulties and machine-equipment shortages we have experienced, we have attracted interest in our industry with our unorthodox, innovative, different products and models. We created a new category in the sector with our innovations as wood-coated door products.
In 2000, we reached 2,500 m2 working area and started to produce general and kitchen furniture with our increased capacity. Then, we have increased our domestic market share and started exporting doors and furniture to African and Arab countries through foreign fairs, promotions, and organizations take part in.
The serious investments we made in our machine park had its effect. We minimized the errors that occur during production. We have reached a high level of customer satisfaction with our rising production quality”.
Can you tell us about your facility we are in right now?
“This facility, which has built-in 2013 within Tosya Organized Industrial Zone, is 20,000 m2. Now, We are continuing our production journey with 170 personnel. Our capacity has increased to 3 times thanks to our automation lines, continued investments in our machine track, and our wood painting facility. We produce an average of 14,500 door wings, 72,500 door moldings, 36,250 doorcases, and an average of 2,500 m2 of furniture products per month. Both our factory stock area and our large warehouses located in Istanbul and auxiliary regions make it easier for us to ship to all countries of the world. “

“ We use your KR PM-10 Profile Sanding Machine, KR YZM-1300 Surface Sanding Machine, KR BM-1700 Automatic Spraying Machine with Water System. You have also set up turnkey Painting and Flashoff Cabins for us. ”
What do you think about our machines?
” Your KR PM-10 Profile Sanding Machine performs perfect sanding by preventing problems such as bottoming out and rounding in the corners of the profile. Thanks to its PLC controlled and moving units that only press when it sees the product. And it also has a system that allows you to add mop sanders with form in case of special needs.”
“Your KR YZM-1300 Surface Sanding Machines justify their eminence with their brush variety, smart abrasive Scanner System, Scotch Cylinder System that removes the marks after sanding and makes super finish.”
“KR BM 1700 Automatic Painting Machine makes a difference by hosting all the many features that are not already in its competitors as standard equipment. You have a Smart Airjet system that cleans dust on the product, an antistatic bar that resets static electricity from the machine, and you have a mobile laser system that works with millimetric precision that patented by you. Also, your ad hoc developed Recycling System, which provides almost 30% paint savings, is one of the features that comes to my mind at first.” “Besides all these and many other features, your machines environmentally friendly and cleans the dirty air in the cabin with healthier and lower emission values. We have 2 of your KR BM-1700 with water system in our factory.”
Thanks to the software in your machines which are completely owned by Karabudak Makine KA.MA; we can make settings related to the products we process on the touch control panel, such as the amount of paint, conveyor speed, fan speed, robot speed. In this way, we can realize the desire and determination we show to follow all the requirements of the technology age.”
“We are very serious about R&D studies. To show our respect for nature, we produce using only trees grown for industrial purposes. By transforming our leftovers, we carefully avoid the waste of our essential resources. Our high-quality standards, which we apply meticulously from the beginning of production to packaging and assembly, bear fruit. Being the export leader in our region in 2015 further increased our motivation. We export to dozens of countries such as Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, UAE-Dubai. 30% of our exports to Italy, one of the most important countries in our sector.”
