Kahramanlar Forest Products Company is one of the leading companies in the forest products sector of Turkey with more than 40 years of experience and modern equipment. Established in a large area of 40.000 m 2 in Akyurt Industrial Zone of Ankara, they continue their activities as one of the few integrated facilities of our country.
We met with KAHRAMANLAR Factory Manager, Mr. Erdinç Yaşar.
– Could you tell us about the history of your company?
– Our company was founded, in 1954, under the name of Ugur Lumber. Our founder Ali Kahraman was trading lumber with only soft trees at that time. By the year 1986, he became one of the most well-known firms in the region with an increase of product diversity, and panel sales. We have taken the first step in establishing our factory and changing its name as Kahramanlar Forest Products. The gains of our factory from timber processing, log cutting, and subcontracting have always returned to our business as an investment, between 1994 and 2004.
– How did you get into the door industry?
– Our search for new areas led us to the door sector in 2004. We entered the sector by producing door parts with the brand name of Kapım, and by directing our investments to this area, we went to a great innovation by supporting our experience from many years with technology.
– Can you give information about your Production Lines and capacity?
– We have reached the capacity to produce 9,000 doors and hundreds of solid panels per month. We started the production of Painted Doors in 2013-2014 with the KR BM-1700 Automatic Painting Machine and UV Drying Line, which we first received from you. I am proud to say that we are one of the few integrated facilities in Turkey with our 70-meter Painting Line, fully Automatic Sanding, and CNC Machines.
– Also, you only produce doors by natural tree or natural coated doors, don’t you?
-Yes, today, PVC-based, synthetic doors are preferred in terms of mass production, minimum effort and maximum efficiency. But we prefer to work with wooden materials and meet the need for natural materials doors on the market due to the importance we attach to human health and the structure that nature offers us.
–You have a very comprehensive website on trees and your products. The importance you give to your business and your knowledge has evident at every point.
– We wanted our customers to have easy access to any information they want to learn, not to have a question mark in their minds when determining their preferences. We have uploaded the information to our website so that they can easily compare the alternatives, to access correct/healthy information, and even make different polish/paint operations in their workshops if they want. We also implemented an open price policy as one of the indicators of our confidence.
– Where can your customers buy your products?
-All kinds of products in our company; are produced in a wide range. Our doors are not only in sets; as door leaves, cases, moldings, more than 20 sales points in Turkey, especially Istanbul, Ankara, and Antalya or online, AHSAPLAR.COM sold on our site.
– Finally, do you have anything to say?
-It is our company policy to benefit the Forest Products sector, to lead innovations, to produce quality, to be respectful to nature. For this reason, every year we’re looking for ways to increase our capacity, and we’re putting our profits back into our business.
